It is important to lay concrete slab foundations on a perfectly levelled surface. The step before laying the foundation involves creating the pad. This entails clearing the land, levelling it using professional equipment and packing the ground tightly to prevent erosion.

Our team helps in the creation of house and shed pads on private properties. We do the levelling and flattening with our heavy equipment. If anything needs to be cleared from the area first, we will remove and dispose of it.

Once we’ve made the ground flat, we pack it down tightly to compress the dirt. For ground levelling, we use a professional laser leveller. That ensures the pad is truly level and ready for the poured concrete.

For most home and shed pads, it’s best to use a compacting material to assist with the stability of the ground beneath the concrete. Dirt may allow too much water through, causing erosion damage or shifts in the foundation over time.

Using a compacting material helps to prevent these problems. We have access to Deco and Crusher Dust, two different compacting materials used to create more highly compressed surfaces for foundation pads.
